چکیده

In highly competitive shipping market environment, container network operators-Freight forwarders, companies etc. are concerned about design, development and deployment of optimized allocation model to achieve cost savings through improved storage yard operations, crane productivity, outbound allocation/distribution seaport terminals hence reduction in ships’ waiting times. this paper, we developed two models, the Dynamic programming optimal policy (model), for units laden cargo containers sizes: 20ft 40ft six (6) major seaports Nigeria. The distributions were allocated as follows: Port-Harcourt, Tincan Island, Onne, Calabar with 1,064 stuffed each. Apapa was 2,128 containers, zero made Warri seaport. These results arrived at implementation policy. could be attributed poor shipper patronage low frequency ship visits. double number moved remaining ports because it attracted more Hence, freight forwarding will assured spaces make profit by allocating containers. Policy implications models discussed.

Optimal Asset Allocation using Adaptive Dynamic Programming

In recent years, the interest of investors has shifted to computerized asset allocation (portfolio management) to exploit the growing dynamics of the capital markets. In this paper, asset allocation is formalized as a Markovian Decision Problem which can be optimized by applying dynamic programming or reinforcement learning based algorithms. Using an artificial exchange rate, the asset allocati...

Application of Mathematical Programming Model for Optimal Allocation of Voshmgir Dam Water for Various Consumptions (Case Study: Golestan Province)

Water is an essential yet constrained commodity for human communities and ecological systems depend on it. With population growth and economic development, water resource is increasingly declining. Over the past two decades, because of changes in population and climate, and relative welfare increase, the per capita consumption of water has increased. Thus, optimal use of available water resourc...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
